The use of Shotcrete for strengthening existing buildings to meet current building code requirements in Los Angeles has become a substantial marketplace for Shotcrete. The antiquated limitations in regards to bar diameters (maximum #5 bar) and lift height limitations (maximum 3' in 3 hours) have been significantly re-vamped and upon successful demonstration of our qualifications and abilities, we are now permitted to use Shotcrete on projects with bar diameters as large as #18 bars at spacings of 4" and walls as high as 24' can be brought up in 1 day. These dramatic improvements and better understanding of the potential uses for Shotcrete, coupled with quality workmanship; has provided engineers with simple solutions to once very costly and complicated concrete designs.
